How to / Re:Cave Border Definition
« Ultimo post da cepe il Marzo 30, 2026, 07:49:30 am »Yes, in cSurvey, cave borders have to be areas so you need to merge borders imported from TopoDroid to create a valid area.
Note: I use a different workflow even using TopoDroidX in cave cause I'm not able to get good drawing while in cave.
I use the draw taken in cave as base with whiteboard function*, I mark all Topodroid's objects not to be printed and basically I redraw all better.
Merging border is good but avoid to merge a large cave with one big border's area. Always create small parts and use 'point's join' to join shared points of one area to the same points of the near area (this to remove empty space between two borders'area).
To change and element category you need to use the 'convert to' function (right click on it->convert to). You can not simply change a property to do this.
